Family Trip to Egypt

Four nights that split an Egypt introduction between Giza's stones and the Red Sea's coral, built around a six-year-old's pace.

Egypt doesn't need two weeks to make an impression on a young family. Four nights is enough for the pyramids to register, a sound and light show to hold a child's attention past bedtime, and a Red Sea afternoon to end the trip on something lighter than temples.

This is one of the Egypt itineraries we've planned for a family before , four nights, five days across Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh, built for three adults and one child (6 years) travelling together. It's shared here to show what a short family trip through Egypt could look like. A version built around your own family's size, pace, and dates would look a little different , and that's the point.

Why Travel to Egypt with Your Family, the Short Way

Why Travel to Egypt with Your Family, the Short Way

Two nights in Cairo cover the essentials without overreaching , the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx by day, a sound and light show over the same monuments by night, and the Grand Egyptian Museum's Ramses II galleries in between.

The second half of the trip trades temples for the Red Sea. A short flight to Sharm El Sheikh and a snorkeling day at White Island and Ras Mohamed National Park give the child something physical to do after two days of guided walking, with an intro scuba dive built in for whoever wants to try it.
