Culture
Belgrade's Kalemegdan Fortress and Saint Sava Temple, and Bucharest's Romanian Athenaeum and Palace of Parliament.
Nine nights across Belgrade, Bucharest and Sofia, split evenly between fairways and fortresses.
A golf trip doesn't have to mean the same three or four countries everyone else plays. This one runs through the Balkans instead , Belgrade, Bucharest and Sofia, with a tee time built into two of the three.
This is one of the itineraries we've planned for a group before , 9 nights, 10 days across Belgrade, Bucharest and Sofia, built for 18 adults travelling together, split evenly between golfers and non-golfers. It's shared here to show what a golf-and-culture trip through the Balkans could look like. A version built around your own group's size and golf-to-sightseeing ratio would look a little different , and that's the point.
Why This Trip
Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria don't often appear on a golfer's shortlist, which is exactly the appeal. Belgrade opens the trip with fortress views and river walks, before Bucharest and Sofia each deliver a round of golf on courses most travellers have never heard of.
The itinerary splits cleanly in both golf cities: nine golfers tee off while nine non-golfers take the old town instead, and everyone regroups by evening. Nobody sits out, and nobody has to choose between the fairway and the fortress.
If you asked us: Pravets Golf Club, outside Sofia, is the stronger of the two rounds , keep some energy in reserve for it on day eight.
₹1,99,685 per person for golfers and ₹1,73,595 per person for non-golfers, based on 18 adults travelling together (9 golfers, 9 non-golfers), excluding international airfare (₹71,500 per person, quoted separately), rental clubs, city taxes, travel insurance and visa fees.
