Culture
Salzburg's Sound of Music locations, Ljubljana's Old Town, and Dubrovnik's medieval walls.
Salzburg's fortress and Ljubljana's lakes on the way in, five nights of Croatia's coast and islands at the center.
Croatia rarely gets a ten-night trip to itself , most itineraries either rush the coast or bolt it onto a longer Europe run. This one takes the overland route in, through Salzburg's fortress and Ljubljana's lakes, then settles into five unhurried nights across Plitvice, Split and Dubrovnik, the actual center of the trip.
This is one of the Croatia itineraries we've planned for a family before , ten nights, eleven days across Salzburg, Ljubljana, Plitvice, Split and Dubrovnik, built for 6 adults and 1 child travelling together. It's shared here to show what a family trip built around Croatia could look like. A version built around your own family's size, pace, and dates would look a little different , and that's the point.
Why This Trip
Plitvice Lakes National Park's wooden walkways and turquoise cascades make for an easy day with a child along, and Split and Dubrovnik split the coastal stretch into two very different old towns , one built inside a Roman palace, the other ringed by medieval walls.
The Blue Cave and Hvar speedboat tour from Split covers five islands in a single day, with swimming stops at Stiniva Cove and Budikovac built in for whenever the group needs to cool off.
Salzburg and Ljubljana bookend the trip rather than compete with it , a fortress funicular and a Sound of Music tour on the way in, a lake day and a castle on the way through Slovenia, both timed so Croatia gets the bulk of the nights.
per adult and ₹65,995 per child, based on 6 adults and 1 child travelling together, including international and internal airfare
