Culture
Copenhagen's Old Town and Nyhavn, and a guided visit to Drottningholm Palace in Stockholm.
Five cities and a toddler in tow, with a Reykjavik detour built into the middle of the trip.
Travelling with a child under five changes the maths on a trip like this , fewer late nights, more mornings built around naps, and hotels chosen for how close they sit to the things worth walking to. Scandinavia handles that well: short flights between cities, calm streets, and enough on the ground for the adults even when the day slows down.
This is one of the Scandinavia itineraries we've planned for a family before , twelve nights, thirteen days across Copenhagen, Bergen, Oslo and Stockholm, with a four-night stop in Reykjavik in between, built for four adults and one child under five travelling together. It's shared here to show what a family trip through Scandinavia could look like. A version built around your own family's size, pace and dates would look a little different , and that's the point.
Why This Trip
April keeps the days long enough for sightseeing without the peak summer crowds, and the pace here stays gentle on purpose , two nights in each Scandinavian city, a boat cruise or cable car most days, and nothing that demands an early start.
The Reykjavik stop in the middle breaks up the trip well for a young family: four nights instead of the usual two or three, room for a slow morning after the Golden Circle tour, and a Northern Lights evening built in without anyone having to stay up too late for it.
per adult and ₹1,08,650 per child, based on 4 adults and 1 child (under 5) travelling together, excluding international airfare
