Sanssouci Palace and its park, Berlin's landmarks by rickshaw and a night at the Friedrichstadt-Palast.
A 6-night friends trip to Germany across Berlin and Munich, with a rickshaw tour, the German Spy Museum, a Munich beer tour and the Eagle's Nest.
Six nights for four friends, from a rickshaw through Berlin to a beer hall in Munich and a mountain-top day in the Alps. Germany is a good choice for friends who like a bit of everything. Berlin is for history, spies and a night out, Munich is for beer, food and the mountains on the doorstep, and a fast train joins the two. This is one of the Germany itineraries we've planned for a group of friends before, six nights, seven days across Berlin and Munich, built for four adults travelling together. It's shared here to show what a friends' trip through Germany could look like. A version built around your own group's size, pace and dates would look a little different, and that's the point.
Why This Trip
June to September is the season for it. The beer gardens are open late, the evenings are long and the Alpine roads are clear. Berlin is the faster half, with a rickshaw tour, a day trip to Potsdam and Sachsenhausen, and an evening at the Friedrichstadt-Palast, Berlin's big revue theatre. Munich is where the group slows down and eats. The English-guided beer tour covers breweries, beer halls, gardens and cellars with tastings and Bavarian snacks, the Eagle's Nest day adds mountain scenery to a serious piece of history, and the last day is left open for the BMW Museum and a long farewell dinner. If you asked us: book the Eagle's Nest day early in the Munich stay and keep the day after it flexible. The summit road is usually open only from late spring to October, and mountain weather can move the date.
