Vietnam Couples Trip

Ten nights from Hanoi's Old Quarter to a Phu Quoc sunset, with a cable car over the Roof of Indochina in between.

Vietnam rewards a couple with the time to see all of it , limestone karsts rising out of rice paddies, a hill town in the clouds, lantern-lit river towns, and an island at the very end where nothing is scheduled at all.

This is one of the Vietnam itineraries we've planned for a couple before , ten nights, eleven days across Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Sapa, Da Nang, Hoi An and Phu Quoc, built for two adults travelling together. It's shared here to show what a full-circuit couples' trip through Vietnam could look like. A version built around your own dates and pace would look a little different , and that's the point.

Why Travel to Vietnam as a Couple

Why Travel to Vietnam as a Couple

January keeps Sapa cool and the Ninh Binh rice paddies green, good conditions for the Tam Coc boat ride and the Fansipan cable car's long views over the Hoang Lien Son range.

Hoi An's lantern-lit streets get an evening to themselves, with a boat ride and a local dinner built in, and the trip closes on Phu Quoc , three days with nothing more urgent than an island tour and a beach.

If you asked us: this route covers more ground than most first Vietnam trips need to. A version that drops one city and adds a free day in Hoi An would lose nothing that matters.
