A Cruise Before the Theme Parks

Vietnam holds two very different kinds of family day out , a quiet night on a Halong Bay cruise, and an island's worth of theme parks that a nine-year-old won't stop talking about. This trip gives equal time to both.

This is one of the Vietnam itineraries we've planned for a family before , seven nights, eight days across Hanoi, Halong Bay, Da Nang and Phu Quoc, built for three adults and one child (9 years) travelling together. It's shared here to show what a family trip through Vietnam could look like. A version built around your own family's size, pace, and dates would look a little different , and that's the point.

Why Travel to Vietnam with Your Family

The Halong Bay cruise opens the trip gently , grottoes, kayaking, and a cooking demonstration on board, all at a pace that suits a nine-year-old better than a packed city tour would on day one.

Phu Quoc closes the trip with VinWonders, Vietnam's largest theme park, a canoe and cable car island-hopping day, and Sunset Town's evening show , three very different kinds of fun packed into the final stretch.
