Culture
Zagreb's old town, Dubrovnik's medieval streets, and the Acropolis in Athens.
Zagreb to Zadar to Split to Dubrovnik by coach, then a flight into Athens, Santorini and Mykonos for the second week.
This trip splits almost evenly between two countries, and Croatia goes first , four cities by intercity bus down the Dalmatian coast before a short flight into the Greek islands for the back half. It's a way to see both without the trip feeling like two separate holidays stitched together.
This is one of the Croatia itineraries we've planned for a couple before , fifteen nights, sixteen days from Zagreb through Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik, then on to Athens, Santorini and Mykonos, built for 2 adults travelling together. It's shared here to show what a Croatia-into-Greece trip could look like. A version built around your own dates and pace would look a little different , and that's the point.
Why This Trip
Croatia's seven nights move at a steady clip by intercity coach , Zagreb's funicular and Plitvice Lakes on the way to Zadar, a Split Riviera sunset cruise and the Krka waterfalls, then Dubrovnik's cable-car views over the Old Town.
The flight from Dubrovnik to Athens closes out Croatia and opens Greece properly , the Acropolis first, then island time in Santorini and Mykonos for the back half of the trip.
Travenza tip: the coach-and-ferry pace through Croatia is unhurried by design. Keep it that way , the islands are where the trip picks up speed.
per person, based on 2 adults travelling together, including international airfare
