Abu Simbel's rock-cut temples, Philae Temple's island setting, and a Cairo sound and light show saved for the last evening.
An eight-night route that flies straight into Aswan and works north, saving the Giza Pyramids for the last full day instead of the first.
Most Egypt trips start in Cairo and head south toward the cruise. This one runs the other way , landing directly in Aswan, working up through Luxor and the Red Sea, and closing with Cairo's pyramids on the final day, when there's nothing left to rush toward.
This is one of the Egypt itineraries we've planned for a couple before , eight nights, nine days across Aswan, Luxor, Sharm El Sheikh and Cairo, built for two adults travelling together. It's shared here to show what a couples' trip through Egypt could look like. A version built around your own dates and pace would look a little different , and that's the point.
Why This Trip
Flying into Aswan skips Cairo's arrival crowds entirely and puts Abu Simbel and Philae Temple in the first days of the trip, when the pace is still fresh. A private day tour covers both , the Nubian village and the temple of Isis in the morning, Ramesses II's rock-cut temples at Abu Simbel in the afternoon.
Luxor's sunrise hot air balloon sits mid-trip rather than at the end, and two nights at an all-inclusive Red Sea resort give the couple a stretch with nothing scheduled before Cairo's pyramids close the trip out on the last full day.
per adult, based on 2 adults travelling together, including internal flights and visa fees, excluding international airfare
