Culture
Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple and Mullakkal Rajarajeswari Temple.
Five nights that move from Munnar's tea slopes to Alleppey's canals to Kovalam's beaches, without repeating a single landscape.
Kerala for two rarely stays in one kind of landscape for long, and this trip leans into that , hill-station mornings in Munnar, a half-day houseboat drift through Alleppey, and beach afternoons in Kovalam by the end.
This is one of the Kerala itineraries we've planned for a couple before , five nights, six days across Munnar, Alleppey and Kovalam, built for two adults travelling together. It's shared here to show what a couples' trip through Kerala could look like. A version built around your own dates and pace would look a little different , and that's the point.
Why This Trip
February keeps the backwaters calm and Munnar's tea slopes free of monsoon clouds. A traditional Kerala lunch on arrival day and a spice plantation stop set the tone before the hill station's Echo Point, Tata Tea Museum and Eravikulam National Park fill the second day.
The hop-on hop-off houseboat cruise through Alleppey runs a half-day rather than overnight here, which keeps the pace moving toward Kovalam and Poovar's beaches , Hawa Beach, Lighthouse Beach, and the coastal temples at Trivandrum closing out the trip.
