Culture
The National Museum of Singapore and a half-day city tour through Merlion Park and the colonial district.
Four nights over New Year, paced for a six-year-old, with a river cruise after dark and an oceanarium before the flight home.
Singapore over New Year works for a family because the city does the entertaining for you. There's a theme park, an aquarium, a zoo's worth of night creatures, and a countdown atmosphere that doesn't require staying up past a six-year-old's bedtime to enjoy.
This is one of the Singapore itineraries we've planned for a family before , four nights, five days in the city, built for two adults and one child (6 years) travelling together over the New Year period. It's shared here to show what a short family trip through Singapore could look like. A version built around your own family's size, pace, and dates would look a little different , and that's the point.
Why This Trip
Four nights is enough to cover Singapore's family essentials without over-scheduling a child still finding their feet. This trip opens with the National Museum and Gardens by the Bay, moves into a half-day city tour and the Museum of Ice Cream, and closes with Sentosa's cable car and a full day at Universal Studios.
A bumboat ride down the Singapore River sits on the second evening , a slower, low-key way to see the skyline lit up that suits a family more than another queue would. If you asked us: keep the S.E.A. Oceanarium for the last morning. It's an easy, air-conditioned way to fill the hours before an airport transfer.
per adult and ₹41,275 per child, based on 2 adults and 1 child (6 years) travelling together, excluding international airfare

Day By Day
The family checks into a city hotel and heads out to the National Museum for a first taste of Singapore's history, before Gardens by the Bay's Supertrees and Cloud Forest. The day closes at Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, watching the skyline turn to lights.
A half-day city tour takes in Merlion Park and Singapore's colonial core, with a ride on the Singapore Flyer along the way. The Museum of Ice Cream's timed afternoon slot is a good match for a young child's attention span, and the evening ends on a Singapore River bumboat cruise past the lit-up bridges and waterfront.
Check-out moves the family to Sentosa itself. The cable car ride over the harbour, one ride at 4D AdventureLand, and the outdoor Wings of Time show close the day with water, laser and fire effects over the sea.
A full day at Universal Studios Singapore, moving between Hollywood, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt and Far Far Away at whatever pace a six-year-old sets.
One last stop at the S.E.A. Oceanarium's underwater tunnels before the transfer to the airport for the flight home.
