Culture
Little Havana's Cuban culture in Miami, Washington DC's monuments after dark, and Harlem and Brooklyn on the Boroughs tour.
Four cities down America's East Coast, from Key West's coral reefs to Niagara's spray, built for a family of four.
The East Coast solves a real problem for a family with one trip to the USA , how do you fit the beach, the theme parks, the monuments and the skyline into two weeks without any of it feeling rushed. This route does it by keeping the moves simple: fly in through Miami, work north through Orlando, DC and New York, with a proper day trip built onto each stop.
This is one of the USA itineraries we've planned for a family before , thirteen nights, fourteen days across Miami, Orlando, Washington DC and New York, built for three adults and one child (9 years) travelling together. It's shared here to show what a family trip down the East Coast could look like. A version built around your own family's size, pace, and dates would look a little different , and that's the point.
Why This Trip
Miami opens the trip with a proper mix of city and water , a Biscayne Bay boat tour, Little Havana's Cuban coffee, and a full day out to Key West across thirty-two islands, with a glass-bottom boat and a snorkel stop over a coral reef built in.
Orlando gets three nights inside Disney World itself, and Washington DC , a city most East Coast itineraries skip in favour of a third Orlando day , gets its own two nights, with a night-time monuments tour by electric cart and a half-day out to Mount Vernon and Old Town Alexandria.
If you asked us: the Boroughs of NYC tour on the New York leg is worth keeping even though it looks skippable on paper , Harlem, the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Coney Island in one day give the trip a New York most first-timers never see, right before it ends.
