Culture
Fenghuang Ancient Town's Ming and Qing-era streets, and Shanghai's Former French Concession.
Twelve nights through China's east and south, ending with three nights and a Disneyland day in Hong Kong.
This one treats China as the main event and Hong Kong as the close , twelve nights, with nine of them spent moving through Shanghai, Zhangjiajie, Fenghuang and Guangzhou by train, before a final three nights in Hong Kong for Disneyland and a change of pace.
This is one of the China itineraries we've planned for a group of friends before , 12 nights, 13 days across Shanghai, Zhangjiajie, Fenghuang, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, built for three adults travelling together. It's shared here to show what a longer group trip through the region could look like. A version built around your own group's size, pace and dates would look a little different , and that's the point.
Why This Trip
The train journeys are half the trip's character , a scenic ride from Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang, a fast connection down to Guangzhou, and a final high-speed run across the border into Hong Kong, all without touching an airport in between.
Fenghuang Ancient Town is the itinerary's quiet highlight, a Ming and Qing-era riverside town most first-time China visitors never reach. Guangzhou then hands the group two open shopping days before Hong Kong closes the trip with Disneyland and city time.
Travenza tip: keep Guangzhou's two days unscheduled, as this itinerary does. It's a shopping city more than a sightseeing one, and a fixed tour there tends to waste the group's time.
per person, based on 3 adults travelling together, excluding international airfare
