Argentina, Brazil & Peru

Friends Trip to Brazil

Twelve nights that move from tango in Buenos Aires to Sugarloaf Mountain to a citadel above the clouds, without doubling back once.

South America rarely gets planned as one trip, mostly because it's large enough to swallow a month and still leave things unseen. This route picks three countries that sit close enough together to link by direct flights, and different enough from each other that no two days on the itinerary feel alike , Argentina's café culture, Brazil's beaches and mountains, Peru's Andes.

This is one of the South America itineraries we've planned for two travelling together before , twelve nights, thirteen days across Buenos Aires and Puerto Iguazú in Argentina, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco and Lima in Peru. It's shared here to show what a multi-country trip through South America could look like. A version built around your own dates and pace would look a little different , and that's the point.

Why Travel South America as Three Countries, Not One

Why Travel South America as Three Countries, Not One

June keeps Buenos Aires cool rather than cold, gives Iguazu Falls strong water flow without the wet-season crowds, and sits inside Machu Picchu's dry season, when the Inca trail and the citadel are at their clearest.

The falls get seen from both sides of the border , a lower and upper circuit walk on the Argentinian side, and the panoramic Brazilian view with its own set of rainbows , which is worth the visa paperwork on its own. If you asked us: don't skip the Brazilian side just to save a day. The two views of Iguazu are different enough to both be worth it.
