Iceland, with Amsterdam, Paris, Budapest & Vienna

Friends Trip to Iceland

Northern lights, a glamping night by the Golden Circle, and an ice cave walk , before the trip turns into a four-city European relay.

16 Nights / 17 DaysDuration

Iceland gets the biggest single share of this trip , six nights, more than any other stop , before it hands off to a run through Amsterdam, Paris, Budapest and Vienna. For four friends who can't agree on just one kind of holiday, this is what a single long trip built around several very different cities looks like.

This is one of the Iceland itineraries we've planned for a group of friends before , sixteen nights, seventeen days from Reykjavik through a self-drive glamping stop, then on to Amsterdam, Paris, Budapest and Vienna, built for 4 adults travelling together. It's shared here to show what a longer Iceland-and-Europe trip could look like. A version built around your own group's size and dates would look a little different , and that's the point.

Why Give Iceland the First Week of a Europe Trip

Six nights in Iceland covers a lot of ground: a Northern Lights bus tour on arrival, the Golden Circle with the Blue Lagoon, the Snaefellsnes Peninsula's black pearl beaches, Silfra snorkelling between tectonic plates, the Sky Lagoon, and a night glamping in a Golden Domes bubble before a self-drive along the South Coast to an ice cave walk at Jokulsarlon.

From there, a flight into Amsterdam opens the European leg , the Heineken Experience and an immersive AMAZE installation , before a train to Paris for the Eiffel Tower and a Seine cruise, then flights on to Budapest for an e-scooter tour and the city's famous Sparty thermal bath party, and finally Vienna, with a Salzburg day trip built into the last stretch.

If you asked us: keep the glamping night in , waking up inside a glass dome by the Golden Circle is the one part of this trip nobody else's itinerary has.
