Emboodhoo Lagoon sits a fifteen-minute speedboat ride from the airport, close enough that the trip starts almost as soon as you land. Hard Rock leans into its name , Fender guitars and Crosley record players are on request in every room, and the ocean-view pool comes with a slide and underwater speakers, which is a strange amount of fun for a group of four.

Splitting the stay between a beach studio and a platinum overwater villa gives the group two very different versions of the same resort , one for the pool days, one for the water villa photos everyone actually wants.

    Malé to Emboodhoo Lagoon

    A fifteen-minute speedboat ride from Malé International Airport to the resort. Check in to the Silver Beach Studio, with the evening free.

  2. Day 2

    Pool Day

    The ocean-view pool, slide included, takes up most of the day, with underwater speakers keeping the mood going.

  3. Day 3

    Move to the Water Villa

    A shift to the Platinum Over Water Villa, followed by an evening jam session with the resort's Fender guitars and Crosley record players.

  4. Day 4

    Marina @ CROSSROADS

    A short walk to the resort's own marina and retail district for shopping and a change of scene before the last night.

  5. Day 5

    Departure

    A speedboat back to Malé International Airport for the flight home.
