Culture
Leh Palace, Spituk Monastery, and Hanle's monastery.
Six nights that push beyond Ladakh's standard Nubra-Pangong loop to Hanle, one of India's darkest night skies.
Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake make almost every Ladakh itinerary. Hanle rarely does , a further drive east across the Tsaga-La pass to one of the darkest, most remote corners of the country, home to India's highest-altitude astronomical observatory.
This is one of the Ladakh itineraries we've planned for a group of friends before , six nights, seven days across Leh, Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake and Hanle, built for four adults travelling together. It's shared here to show what a route through Ladakh's less-travelled edge could look like. A version built around your own group's size, pace, and dates would look a little different , and that's the point.
Why This Trip
The standard Ladakh loop turns back to Leh straight from Pangong. This route keeps going , across the Tsaga-La pass to Hanle, where the observatory and monastery sit under skies dark enough to see the Milky Way without any real effort.
Khardung La's high pass, Nubra's double-humped camel safari among its dunes, and the Sham Valley's monasteries and magnetic hill still make the trip , Hanle adds a night most groups never get to, rather than replacing anything.
per person (4-star) or ₹84,900 per person (5-star), based on 4 adults travelling together, excluding airfare
