Culture
A Kandy cultural dance show and the Temple of the Tooth Relic, both on the first two days.
Four nights across hill country and coast, timed short enough that neither of you needs a day off from the holiday.
Sri Lanka packs hill country, coastline and a capital city into a distance small enough to cover in four nights without anyone feeling rushed. That density is what makes it work for a couple with a short window , tea estates one day, a beach the next, and Colombo's evening markets to close it out.
This is one of the Sri Lanka itineraries we've planned for a couple before , four nights, five days across Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Bentota and Colombo, built for two adults travelling together. It's shared here to show what a couples' trip to Sri Lanka could look like. A version built around your own dates and pace would look a little different , and that's the point.
Why This Trip
Landing straight into Kandy means the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and a cultural dance show happen on day one, before jet lag has a chance to argue. From there, the hill country around Nuwara Eliya brings tea plantations, Ramboda Falls, and an evening by Gregory Lake, before the road drops back down to Bentota's beaches.
March keeps the weather dry on both sides of the island , hill country and coast , which is not always the case in Sri Lanka. If you asked us: skip the casino stop in Colombo and use that last evening for one more walk along Galle Face Green instead.
per adult, based on 2 adults travelling together, breakfast daily, excluding international airfare and entrance fees
