This is one of the Thailand itineraries we've planned for a couple before , five nights, six days across Phuket, Krabi and Bangkok, built for two adults travelling together. It's shared here to show what a couples' trip through Thailand could look like. A version built around your own dates and pace would look a little different , and that's the point.

February sits in Thailand's dry season, which means calmer seas for the speedboat between Phuket and Krabi and clear skies for a sunset dinner cruise on arrival in Krabi.

Railay Beach, reachable only by boat, and the Emerald Pool's hot springs both get a half-day each , quieter stops than Phuket's busier beaches, and better suited to a couple with nowhere particular to be.

If you asked us: give Krabi the extra night if the trip allows it. Bangkok is worth an evening; Krabi's coastline is worth more than one.
