Documents Required

What you need for Mexico.

Passport: Original valid for at least six months from the date of travel, with clear photocopies of the first and last pages
Visa Application Form: duly filled and printed double-sided on a single sheet
Photograph: one recent passport-size photo (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) on a white background; face must cover 80% of the photo, with no glasses or forehead markings (tikka/bindi)
Proof of Financial Solvency (requirements differ by employment status - see occupation-specific lists)
Cover Letter: original personal letter stating the purpose and duration of the trip; if employed, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer is required
Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
Confirmed hotel reservation covering the entire stay (or invitation letter if staying with family/friends)
Minors: additional original birth certificate (apostilled) and consent letters from both parents

Exempt if you hold a valid, multiple-entry visa or permanent residency for the USA, UK, Canada, Japan, or the Schengen Area.
